Firefox 1.0.7 Issues
I recently updated to Firefox 1.0.7. Since then I've had several lockups, and generally poor performance - pages taking forever to load, lots of timeouts. I don't have these errors on my laptop, which runs 1.0.4.Anyone else having issues with 1.07?

Keyword Research Aids Business Bloggers
If youre a business blogger someone who blogs for the purposes of building credibility or gaining exposure for your business you probably think understanding keywords is important to your success. But you also likely think its just one more arcane, techno-geek thing you dont have time to understand.
Jay Stockwell of KeywordWorkshop.com has created two great resources for helping you get a grip on this inscrutable area of the web. First is his weblog. The second is his outstanding Keyword Research Tools Report.
Ive read lots of research reports and am often disappointed. Not this time. Jays introduction and overview of keyword research was excellent, providing an understanding of what keywords are, how they work, what types of tools are available, and how theyre best used. Then he offers a review of more than 20 paid research tools. He does a really good job at this, explaining the various analytics, advantages, and weaknesses of each. Just reading through it will give you a great foundation for thinking about keywords and how they apply to your business.
For better or worse, keywords are the currency of the commercial internet. For them to be of any real use you have to have great material on your site stuff that will inform your audience and give them a reason to want more. But once you have that you need every advantage to get noticed above the noise. Understanding keyword research may be one more tool you can put in your arsenal to beat the competition.

SynchroEdit Web-based Word Processor Allows Multiple Simultaneous Edits
Very interesting synchronous editor. Allowing multiple people to edit a document at the same time has been an intractable problem, and one that affects lots of collaborative editing efforts. Whiteboard-style apps let people draw on the same space, but actual editing has been impossible. Haven't had time to play with this yet, but it's the one new web-based word processor that has caught my eye. Or, yet another collaborative AJAX word processor. SynchroEdit is focused specifically on multiple simultaneous edits, which pushes it farther toward the SubEthaEdit / JotSpot Live end of the continuum from something like Zoho Writer, which seems more geared towards asynchronous collaborative editing. A couple of interesting features set SynchroEdit apart – the editor window depicts each user’s changes in a different color, so you can clearly see who has edited what, plus the interface marks the area a user is currently editing with a colored flag and their name. These two features would be really handy for knowing both who’s doing what currently, as well as who contributed which bits over time.
The SynchroEdit team has been led by Christopher Allen and Kalle Alm, with backing from Socialtext and the Bainbridge Graduate Institute. It’s in a stable alpha release right now, with plans for a full open source release later this fall.
